A choice of off-grid cute shepherd's huts or cosy glamping houses in the South Downs in Hampshire makes for a fantastic break away with family or friends. It's a great place to celebrate a big birthday or anniversary too with exclusive use hire for 21 guests. The delightful meadow location surrounded by ancient woodland is a million miles away from any hustle and bustle, yet has the possibility of being a really sociable space to relax and have loads of fun. Dogs welcome.
The colourful and chic shepherd's huts can be configured to suit groups of all sizes. 2 of the shepherd's huts have wood fired hot tubs, ideal for couples chilling and doing a spot of stargazing at night. St Bride's and Wriggly Inn cosy houses take glamping to the next level, both en-suite and more spacious with luxury design features such as arched windows and a hinged wooden counter top.
Each unit has a stove for cooking and keeping warm. It's easy to boil the kettle and prepare meals on it but if you prefer why not pre-order breakfasts or try some of the farmhouse food available to buy. Don't forget the marshmallows for toasting over the fire pit with the kids! Hopefully the weather will behave so guests have the choice of dining inside or out. There is enough space for everyone to get together outside for a barbecue or family outdoor games.
Going to bed is all part of the fun glamping experience. Snug cabin doubles or singles with deluxe pillows and duvets in the shepherd's huts are conducive to a good night's sleep. The Wash Hut communal showers are close by and the houses are both en-suite with showers and composting toilet.
Wallops Wood is a good base for exploring the pretty villages and country pubs of the Meon Valley. Further afield Portsmouth or Winchester is a brilliant day out with historic attractions and museums galore. The beach and coastal path can be reached in 40 minutes, and the beautiful New Forest is nearby too.
