We can arrange guided walks, foraging, paddleboarding and kayaking, to name just a few.
If wildlife is your thing, the Glaslyn Nature Reserve is only a short drive away, as is the beautiful Llyn Clywedog Reservoir for fishing or watching ospreys. Local beaches including Aberdovey, Morfa Borth Beach and the Welsh Coastal Path are around 40 minutes away for a family day out or some bracing seaside air. Well known mountain bike paths can be found at Dyfi, Corris, Coed y Brenin and Nant yr Arian although others can be accessed directly from the doorstep at Hafren Forest Hideaway.
Hafren Forest Hideaway is in a fabulous rural location, 9 miles from the nearest town at Llanidloes, and welcomes up to 14 guests straight into a boot room to remove muddy boots and hang wet coats up before entering the open plan living areas. The kitchen is great for self catering although your host, Sarah, offers a wide range of home cooked meals if guests want to come in to hot food after a day out. Dining for everyone at a long table provides the best views from the accommodation. The spacious lounge with wood burner and Smart TV is a lovely sociable room to relax in during the evenings, sharing stories and making memories or breaking out the board games.
The 4 bedrooms have singles and bunk beds, cosy and flexible, with 2 twin rooms, 1 sleeping 4 and another sleeping 6. There are 6 showers and 5 toilets.
We are dog friendly but you must let us know at the time of the booking you wish to accommodate your four legged friend.
