The location of this glamping site in the Brecon Beacon offers a paradise for those who love the outdoors. A playground for thrill seekers, the Neath Valley and Brecon Beacons have it all, from top walking and cycling trails to caving, climbing and wild swimming. Waterfall Country Pods provides simple self contained accommodation, popular with friends and family groups gathering for a holiday with the option to explore a fascinating area full of industrial heritage in a magical landscape, or for hens and stags looking for a fun-filled weekend.
The 10 pods are cosy spaces with everything you need for a weekend away. Yes, it's glamping, but each pod is centrally heated, and has a small kitchen area, TV and WiFi. There's also a small deck outside with deckchairs for soaking up the sun or doing some stargazing in our high quality dark skies. The shared barbecue grill area is a lovely spot for everyone to meet up for drinks and some serious marshmallow-toasting on the fire pit. A comfy double will provide a good night's sleep and supplementary mattresses are available for the kids. There are no long walks to shower blocks either, with a shower cubicle and WC in each pod. And the pods have a little space between them too.
Waterfall Glamping Pods is really all about the beautiful forestry location with breathtaking views. There are walks and cycling routes from the door and further afield into Black Mountain Country and the Brecon Beacons. Pontneddfechan is home to Porth Yr Ogof, a gateway cave with cathedral height and a 7 metre entrance - it's a good idea to use one of many local experts as a guide. Danyrogof Caves are a short distance away, a family friendly attraction where you can enjoy a unique underground experience. The waterfalls are a must see and Pontneddfechan is a good place to start for Sgwd Gwladus and a walk behind the deafening rush of Sgwd Yr Eira - not for the faint hearted. Craig Y Nos Castle is nearby, a pretty country park with a great tearoom, part of the Fforest Fawr Geo Park. Swansea and fabulous beaches can be reached in just over 30 minutes.
