Under 10 minutes from Stroud, Woodchester Valley House enjoys a convenient central location with good road access. This very special property is architecturally designed with carefully detailed living areas full of oak floors and picture windows.
Woodchester Valley House has garden on 3 sides and a field on the 4th, great for exercising the dogs and allowing the kids to burn up energy while the adults relax on the patio relishing the fantastic vineyard and country views, with a glass of Woodchester’s finest fizz.
The double height entrance hall is light and airy, with access to a cloakroom and boot room. 2 lounges with wood burners and Sky TV work well for a mixed age group. From the second sitting room throw open bi-fold oak doors into a spacious kitchen diner. The kitchen comes fully equipped and with an island for preparing large meals, and dining table for 12 made for long dinners.
The 6 bedrooms upstairs are stylish with colourful soft furnishings. 4 can be configured as twins using zip and links. 4 have the benefit of en suites and there's a shared bathroom for bedrooms 5 and 6. The master bedroom has a roll top bath and walk in shower, plus a sofa bed for 2 extra guests as a family room.
Woodchester is a short walk away for picking up the morning papers and fresh bread. Stroud is an interesting market town, with a fantastic farmers market, with an industrial heritage and former working mills. The Cotswolds are filled with quintessentially English villages and plenty of country pubs. Gloucester is 30 minutes away, worth a visit for its beautiful cathedral and National Waterways Museum in the revamped docklands area. Slightly further away is Bath, teeming with historic Roman and Georgian attractions as well as great shopping.
