The Bishopdale Bunkhouse is adjacent to a working farm and is 150 metres away from the Street Head Inn (all owned by the same family), has a central location for fell and valley walks and attraction, such as the Herriot Way, Aysgarth Falls (1.5 miles), Bolton Castle (3 miles), Wharfedale, Wensleydale and Swaledale.
The bunkhouse is on the direct route of the Tour De France Stage 1 in Yorkshire 2014. In fact the sprint stage finish for the Green Jersey is 150 metres away from the doorstep.
Nearby historic market towns include Hawes (home of Wensleydale Cheese), Richmond and Leyburn. The bunkhouse has been recently refurnished to a high standard, with a large, attractive open-plan lounge and dining area, a modern kitchen, washing and drying room. Breakfast and evening meals for individuals and groups can be arranged at the Street Head Inn.
The bunkhouse has central heating throughout the building. Free WiFi throughout the building.
We have 20 beds available in 3 rooms with 4 beds and 1 room with 8. All bedding is provided but you will have to bring your own towel and wash kit.
The bunkhouse has a large lounge/dining room room with comfortable seating and ample dining seats for 20 people. There is a TV provided in the dining/common room, with books, cards and board games for the evenings. This large welcoming room is the ideal meeting point for groups and individuals staying at the bunkhouse.
Other facilities include a drying room, cycle store, BBQ, enclosed yard and access to field adjacent for games etc, full central heating, free WiFi, luggage store, and family rooms.
