Just 300 m from the picturesque market square of Leyburn, Eastfield Lodge is ideally situated for exploring one of England’s prettiest rural landscapes. From our doorstep you can venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park with numerous walking and cycling opportunities, a host of charming villages and places of interest. This holiday house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales is open all year round to welcome families, friends and groups who wish to book the whole house for their exclusive use. With its spacious rooms and communal areas, the house is ideal for larger get-togethers and house parties.

Book online selecting from available options - 'Hosted' or 'Self-catered' - depending on the time of year. With the 'self-catered' option we'll generally be here to welcome you, then let you settle yourselves in and relax. Local shops and restaurants will help with your independent catering needs throughout your stay or we can provide you with our 'self-catered dining options' menu. You can then be left to your own devices but there is a wealth of information in the lodge on walks and places of interest. The house is self-catering only in July & August.

If you'd prefer the 'hosted' option, generally available in Spring and Autumn, we will provide a delicious Yorkshire breakfast each morning, tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and lounge, a freshly baked cake or cookies each afternoon, an evening meal from our menu choices on request for which there is a further charge, and light the fire in the winter months. By having a chat, we can tailor make your stay for you, especially if it's a special occasion.

Most importantly, every guest can expect a genuine and enthusiastic welcome from us, Henry Collett and Penny Knight, or one of our colleagues. Our aim is for you to feel you are staying somewhere special, somewhere we would want to stay ourselves so we encourage you to kick off your shoes and make this “home from home” while you are with us.

Facilities

Dog Friendly

A maximum of 4 dogs, £15 per dog per day by arrangement. No dogs are allowed in the kitchen or dining room, or bedrooms 1 & 3.

Disabled Facilities

No specific facilities but we have now converted the garage and flat into one large spacious ground floor apartment to avoid having to use stairs.

WiFi

WiFi is available throughout the property.

Kitchen

Well equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences. Pots, pans, plates, mugs, glasses, cutlery and utensils are all available. No dogs in kitchen.

Dining Room

The dining room offers 20 guests ample seating for breakfast or dinner. We can provide a selection of meals that can be here on your arrival. No dogs.

Sitting Room

There is a lounge with seating for guests to relax by the fire with a drink or enjoy complimentary tea and coffee. There is no TV in the lounge.

TV and Music Facilities

Flat screen TVs in each of the 8 bedrooms and the Snug Bar.

Games Room

There is no games room but there is a range of board games for visitors to enjoy.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating throughout the property and a log burning stove in the guest lounge. Guests use the log burner entirely at their own risk.

Bedrooms

8 bedrooms individually styled: 4 superking size that split into two twins or family rooms. 3 kingsize. Room 8 - standard double & also has a bath.

Linen

Crisp white cotton-rich percale bed linen, luxurious duvets, pillows and bathroom towels are included.

Bathrooms

All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers, loo rolls and soaps. There is a communal facility on the first floor. Room 8 also has a bath.

Children's Facilities

Travel cot and high chair are available upon request. A selection of children's books, and games can be found at Eastfield Lodge.

Outdoor

There is secure bike storage, a drying room, outside toilet, external hose, boot cleaning area, and small lawn and garden.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool.

Parking

There is parking on site for 5 guest vehicles. We strongly encourage groups to car-share when possible to reduce the number of cars on site.

Smoking

No smoking please inside the building.

Pricing is for up to 16 people – extra person at a surcharge of £30pppn for self-catering, £50pppn for hosted.
A 30% deposit is required with booking. Minimum 2 nights. Balance payable 30 days before arrival.
Catered dinner: 2 courses £25pp & 3 courses £30pp.

Location

Eastfield Lodge is 5 mins walk from Leyburn centre in Wensleydale. Just over 1 hour from Leeds and York via A1M. We are on the main Harmby Road, do not let the sat nav take you down South View Lane.

There is the regular Little White Dales Bus service, previously featured on Countryfile.
Wensleydale Tourist Line stops just 400 m from the property with access to the Yorkshire Dales. The nearest main line station is at Northallerton which is 35 mins by taxi.
The busy little town of Leyburn is 300m from this property. With pubs, restaurants, tea-shops, cafes and plenty more. There are numerous walks in the area and plenty of visitor attractions to enjoy.
Leyburn has a variety of shops including Campbells Supermarket and a market on Fridays. It has a butcher, bakeries and a sweet shop. The One-Stop store is open until 10pm and is 5 mins walk away.
Leyburn has an abundance of tearooms and coffee houses. It also boasts 5 pubs including the Leyburn Bolton Arms, The Golden Lion and The Sandpiper Inn with options for dining plus The Saffron Indian.
Leeds Bradford Airport and Newcastle Airport are just over an hour away from the property.
