With ample outdoor seating in a vast garden, host a summer BBQ, and savour delicious meals while basking in the beauty of the surroundings. Please bring your own charcoal and lighters and clean up after your BBQ.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need during your stay. Whether you're a seasoned chef or simply looking to whip up some easy meals, you'll find all the tools and amenities at your fingertips.

The house serves as an ideal base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Chepstow Racecourse, Tintern Abbey, Brecon Beacons, and the charming market towns of Chepstow and Monmouth, with easy access to local Welsh castles. Bristol City Centre is 22.8 miles away by car, Bath 35.6 miles, and Cardiff 36.9 miles, and Dorlands House enjoys proximity to the national cycleway. And it's just a 15-minute drive from the M4 and M5 motorways.

Please note that all bedrooms are accessible via stairs, ensuring privacy and space for every guest.

Indulge in ultimate relaxation with our private hot tub on the patio - cleaned, filled, heated and treated to perfection, ready for your enjoyment. Please follow our hygiene guidelines. While we strive to provide access to the hot tub throughout your stay, we can guarantee its availability for a maximum of 3 days during your reservation. This ensures that all guests have an opportunity to enjoy this amenity.

The hot tub may require maintenance and preparation in between guests, so may not be available until the morning after your arrival. Please bring your own towels for hot tub use to help us maintain high cleanliness standards. We also value sustainability and are conscious of our energy consumption. If you do not anticipate using the hot tub during your stay, kindly inform us, so that we can minimize water and energy usage.

Your 4-legged family members are more than welcome to join you. A nominal fee applies.

Facilities

Dog Friendly

2 pets at £25 per pet. Please keep them out of bedrooms and off furniture. Additionally, please keep on a lead outside as we have chickens.

Disabled Facilities

All bedrooms have to be accessed by stairs.

Hot Tub

The hot tub is on a south west facing patio with amazing views towards the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.

WiFi

We have newly installed fibreoptic broadband.

Parking

While you’ll share the driveway and parking area with any other guests, the generous space available can comfortably accommodate approx 7 vehichles.

Outdoor

There is a large south west facing garden, with a large patio with plenty of out door furniture, close to the Hot Tub and BBQ.

Linen

All the beds are prepared with linen, and towels are also provided.

Booking Information

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, while the non-refundable balance is due 8 weeks before your scheduled stay. We recommend that guests secure their own insurance to cover potential cancellations. In the event of a cancellation initiated by us, we will provide a full refund, including the deposit.

In the heart of the countryside, offering a peaceful and serene environment. Only 15 minutes away from major motorways like the M4 and M5 so you can easily explore the surrounding area or reach your destination without much hassle.

  • Chepstow is a 10 min drive - a charming market town with Castle, riverside walks and historic river port. There are many cafes, restaurants, banks and supermarkets.
  • The village shop is approx. 1/2 mile away, a small supermarket 5 miles, and all the shops that Chepstow has to offer 7 miles away. Most of our visitors have supermarket deliveries made to the door.
  • There are many country pubs and eateries in the area, all within a short drive.
  • Bristol and Cardiff airports are approx. 3/4 hours drive away, depending on volume of traffic.
  • Chepstow town has its own railway station connecting to major routes.
