This family holiday bunkhouse near Beaufort in County Kerry is perfectly placed for exploring the Killarney National Park, the Kerry Mountains and the picture postcard Lough Leane just a leisurely stroll away. The adjacent holiday park site overlooks the famous MacGillycuddy Reeks and Carrantuohill, Ireland's highest peak. Fossa Holiday Hostel is a popular choice with all kinds of groups including 3 generation families, friends' reunions, youth groups, walkers and cyclists looking for warm and comfortable budget accommodation with good on-site facilities.

The bunkhouse, which is available with exclusive use, sleeps up to 40 guests in 5 rooms with bunks and offers a large commercial kitchen for self catering and a dining room where everyone can sit down to eat. Self catering or B&B is available, and packed lunches can be organised by prior arrangement. If the sun shines, there are outside barbecue and picnic areas to enjoy along with a large children's play area complete with slide. Youngsters will flock to the on-site games room for the TV, pool tables and games machines after a busy day out discovering this wonderful area. A laundry and drying room makes sense for visitors staying who need to sort out wet kit after long walks or bike rides.

Aghadoe is a short drive from Fossa Holiday Hostel with breathtaking views over Killarney's mountains and lakes. The owners can provide helpful details of recommended tours in the area; visit Dingle and Slea Head for panoramic views of the Blasket Islands and the Connor Pass, keeping an eye out for native marine wildlife. The Ring of Kerry can be covered in a full day journey too, or head (by short bus journey) to the lovely town of Killarney for a wander around Irish handicraft shops and fascinating hidden cobbled streets with a great range of cafes.

The owners' enthusiasm for this beautiful area is evident, and the welcome will be a warm Irish one.
