Holmehill Lodge East is a great base for exploring this area of Scotland. Situated well for Stirling Castle, Doune Castle and Blair Drummond Safari Park, multi generational family groups and friends will love the flexibility of this newly renovated gatehouse accommodation. It works well for holidays but equally as somewhere to gather the clans for a special celebration. Holmehill is set at the edge of the woods, with a lovely picnic area at the top of the footpath.
The open plan kitchen diner is well set up for cooking together with space for everyone to sit down to eat together. The utility room is a handy space with a washing machine and dryer for washing wet kit after a day out walking or cycling. The lounge has comfy sofas and a TV for down time, an ideal spot for catching up, playing a board game or enjoying a night cap.
The rear private garden is a pleasant space, complete with barbecue and garden furniture for al fresco dining as well as lots of space for the children and dogs to run about. It's a secluded area, away from the hustle and bustle of town life.

Pop into the town to visit the impressive Gothic cathedral, and for book lovers there's a private library which is home to some of the country's rarest books. Tie in a riverside walk with a cup of coffee. Stirling, just a short drive away, is known as Scotland's most historic city, a gateway to the Highlands and with easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Loch Katrine is around an hour away, and from there you can take a cruise on the Sir Walter Scott Steamship - known as the inspiration his his poem 'The Lady of the Lake'.
