Lochieheads enjoys a private setting without being too far from major towns, cities and transport links.

Ask the owners about hiring in a private chef to cook for a special occasion, to be served in the spacious formal dining room next to the fire. Afterwards retire to Lochieheads' private bar for a wee dram or to the games room to shoot some pool. The lounge is a lovely traditional room with leather sofas, sash windows, reading area and a log stove.

For golf enthusiasts, Fife is blessed with many great courses and the home of golf, St Andrews, can be reached in around half an hour. The world renowned Carnoustie is only a short drive from Lochieheads too. Maspie Den in nearby Falkland is a pretty spectacular waterfall walk, definitely worth a trip. Further afield is the East Neuk of Fife, with pretty fishing villages, stunning beaches and opportunities to see fascinating wildlife.
