The location in the Lake District close to the shores of Coniston water mean there’s easy access to a wealth of experiences for your group – choose from a wide range of water-based and land-based activities to create a package which works best for your group. Our activity plans are carefully scheduled to encourage team work as well as instilling a sense of autonomy and resilience in individuals– key attributes for encouraging personal growth and independence. Low Bank Ground is comprised of 4 main buildings. 2 of the buildings, Highfield and Rough Close, provide self-contained accommodation. The 4th building is Yew Tree Lodge that provides additional changing facilities and informal indoor activity space for games and free time complete with a football table, pool table, darts board and various equipment for ball games and badminton. Yew Tree can be used as a multi-functional space for presentations, meetings and team building in wet weather. The site is fully risk assessed and groups are welcome and encouraged to explore the gardens and grounds, particularly as we have a number of orienteering markers on the site and in the fields to be used by groups either in an instructor-led or self-led scenario. ## Additional Features - Leader Rooms - Risk Assessments - Presentation Aids - Outdoor Activities - Educational Focus ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Dogs are welcome - we charge £10 per dog to allow for the additional cleaning. - **Accessibility:** Jacks Room in Highfield is a fully adapted suite with two access beds, hoists, access showers, commode and wet room. Please enquire for use. - **WiFi:** There is an open WiFi network at Low Bank Ground. - **Kitchen:** Highfield and Rough Close have fully equipped kitchens with water boilers, stoves, microwaves, toasters, fridge-freezer. - **Dining Room:** Highfield and Rough close have fold-out tables for self-catered guests. - **Sitting Room:** Rough Close sitting room has sofas and soft chairs and is 3m x 7m. Highfield has a large sitting room with soft chairs and is 6m x 10m. TV in each. - **TV and Music Facilities:** Both Highfield and Rough Close have terrestrial TVs with an HDMI input. Both buildings have a bluetooth speaker. - **Heating and Open Fires:** Central heating kept at an ambient constant temperature. - **Bedrooms:** Highfield: total of 10 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people each. Accessible suite for 2. Rough Close: 5 bedrooms with a capacity of 21. - **Linen:** Linen is provided for your stay, there's no option to remove this service. - **Bathrooms:** Highfield has 9 bathrooms (9 showers and 1 bath) and one upstairs toilet. Rough Close has 4 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. - **Children's Facilities:** We have travel cots and high chairs available to rent, please enquire. - **Outdoor:** Outdoor instructors can be booked in advance max ratio 1:10. - **Parking:** There are plenty of off road car parking spaces for both Rough Close and Highfield.
