8 large family yurts sleep up to 6 each, and 5 smaller yurts sleep 3...available to book individually or in any combination. The site may be hired exclusively for friends, families, corporate or activity events, yoga retreats and for hen and stag weekends and festival-style weddings…. partial non-exclusive hire of the site is usually possible as well.

These 8 spacious family yurts offer real comfort, in tastefully decorated accommodation in 2 double beds and 1 king size. The smaller ‘couples plus’ yurts have a double and a single bed.

Enjoy being away from all the stresses of modern life with a group of friends or family in this idyllic Cornish setting. The Fir Hill Estate, near Newquay, offers the right mix by providing comfortable accommodation and modern facilities, but at the same time making you feel that you have truly escaped from it all.

Being outside is part of a glamping experience and each yurt has its own kitchen shelter and barbecue as well as a seating area where visitors can enjoy the outdoors at any time of the year, making the most of the fire pit with a generous supply of wood. General kitchen equipment is provided along with a gas stove, and there are plenty of picnic benches which can be placed together outside.

The facilities on site will help you to enjoy your stay at a gentle pace - make the most of our amazing leisure areas, and relax on The Terrace or Upper Terrace, both with seating. If you want to have a complete break, catered barbecues are offered at the outdoor kitchen (on request). Outside tables can be moved into the Cowshed.

The Cowshed also offers modern showers.

The Fir Hill is situated in Colan, a gorgeous country hamlet only a 5 minute drive from the popular and bustling town of Newquay, famed for its lovely beach and spectacular surf. Visit the Blue Reef Aquarium, the Screech Owl Sanctuary or within 45 minutes you can reach The Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. The more adventurous can enjoy the variety of coastal activities in plentiful supply. There is a choice of cafes and restaurants to sit and watch the world go by.
