FAQ’s
Do I need to pay extra for my dog?
This is largely dependent on the property, although most will charge around £25-£30 per dog. Sometimes dogs are welcome to join the family free of charge, but always best to check. Most properties will be very transparent about any extra charges you’ll incur.
Do I need to provide bedding and towels for my dog?
Generally speaking, properties won’t provide extras, although some will provide towels for you to use after a walk. When it comes to bedding, your furry friend will most likely feel happiest and more settled in its own bed with its own blankets anyway, so for an easier trip it may be best to take their belongings with you.
How many dogs can I take to my property?
Properties tend to accept between 2-4 dogs, although some don’t specify and will simply charge per dog, it’s always better to check if you’re planning on taking more than one dog along for the trip in case they only accept one animal in the property.
What should I pack for my pooch?
- Food and Food bowl
- Lead, harness, collar, tag
- Water bowl plus water for the trip
- Their favourite treats (it is their holiday too after all)
- Toys
- Bed and bedding
- Poo bags
- Towels
- Any medication / dog friendly sun cream that your dog needs
- Cool mat during the summer months
