Group Accommodation Hay-on-Wye
The home of the internationally-recognised Hay Festival, Hay-on-Wye on the Wales/England border is also known as the ‘Town of Books’, or more simply, just as ‘Hay’. There are books everywhere you look in this little town, from shelves lined with books outside the castle walls to streets filled with bookshops, alongside cafes, antiques and pubs. Even if you don’t visit during the two weeks of the literary festival, you’ll still get the bookish feel of the place, which is set against the backdrop of Hay Castle. If you’re taking an active group who love the outdoors, then you could try canoeing down the Wye, or scaling Hay Bluff, just outside the town. You’ll have the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons on your doorstep for more adventures as well.
