Within the grounds there is scope for country walks, birdwatching, fishing and water-based activities. A fantastic base for a country weekend with friends and family, for get togethers and celebrating special occasions.
There is plenty of space for a large group. The dining room can seat up to 12, and the kitchen also has a table for informal meals. The cosy sitting room has a wood burner and there's a sun room for a quiet moment. 4 bedrooms sleep 10 with space for a cot too. And your dog is also welcome.
Outside there's a play area for children, large lawns and lots of space to run around. The River Tees offers private fishing and the opportunity to spend some time boating and enjoying the peace. There are friendly pubs nearby, and lovely riverside walks. The owner lives on the estate and can organise other activities such as shooting, riding and bird watching on request.
Located approximately 6 miles from the market town of Darlington and 14 miles from Northallerton. Travelling within a short distance opens up the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors. The east coast can be reached by car within the hour and the seaside resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are located a little further away, with a number of stately homes and National Trust properties accessible for a day out. The historic City of Durham is also within a 40 minute drive.
