The main house has 3 double and 5 twin bedrooms and child beds can be added on request. Cottages can be added for extra guests as required.
Spacious, over 3 floors with all public rooms - two sitting rooms, dining room - on ground floor plus kitchen, laundry room, cloakroom and games room. Next to the games room the indoor pool has WC and shower facilities. 8 bedrooms are equally split between 1st and 2nd floors. Heating is oil-fired and for winter ambience there are 4 open log fires in the ground floor living and social rooms with an unlimited supply of logs.
Cottages all have 1 bedroom upstairs. 4 bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and 1 bedroom, mezzanine style with walk-in shower on ground floor. The kitchen/dining/sitting rooms are open-plan, fully equipped, and all have underfloor heating.
The local area is famed for its golf courses such as Royal Troon and Prestwick the home of The Open and for being the birthplace of our national bard Robert Burns. The beaches are sandy and clean, the closest at the seaside town of Troon 8 miles away. Highlights in the local area are Dumfries House and Estate (saved for the nation by Charles, Prince of Wales and Great Steward of Scotland), the National Trust for Scotland's Culzean Castle and Country Park overlooking the sea, Robert Burns Birthplace Museum at Alloway and the River Ayr Way, a source to sea path walkable in "bite size" picturesque chunks. The islands of the Firth of Clyde - Arran, Bute and Great Cumbrae offer day trips and adventure.
House of Craigie is 30 minutes from Glasgow, 2 hours from Carlisle. Dual carriageway to within 10 minutes of the House.
