The Old Vicarage Ovingham is a lovely 14th century holiday house near Newcastle, sensitively restored to offer a wonderful venue to friends and multi generation family groups getting together for an important occasion. The Old Vicarage has oodles of space in a whole range of sociable living areas, perfect for a mixed age group. The property is located in the middle of a pretty village but retains its exclusivity hidden behind a stone wall and stunning wraparound gardens. And the pub and convenience store are literally minutes away.
The kitchen is a focal point at the Old Vicarage. Gorgeous traditional beams and stonework sit side by side a contemporary kitchen filled with light and modern appliances. While the would-be chefs prepare supper, the island is a great spot for pre-dinner chat and drinks. After the meal, there is a choice of 2 lounges with cosy stoves and TVs as well as 2 garden rooms with plenty of comfy sofas and views. The little ones can opt for the playroom where there are toys and a games console set up.
The enclosed garden is a highlight at the Old Vicarage, surrounding the house with mature shrubs, a big lawn and pretty sun terrace for barbecues. There is also an undercover hot tub, a favourite with guests at any time of day or night.

Newcastle is a great city for shopping, site-seeing and a good night out, as well as the Metro Centre and Utilita Arena.
