Enjoy a fabulous break with family or friends in a grand private holiday castle near Frome, with scenic views, hot tubs, gardens and lots of social space for guests to enjoy, perfect for celebrating special occasions or just catching up in impressive surroundings. The Castle is dog friendly too.

Set within an historic 500 acre Somerset estate, the accommodation consist of two beautifully restored battlements, each with an open plan dining room and large traditional kitchen with a range cooker. Grand furnishings and glorious period features make this a memorable venue for your stay. For larger groups taking both battlements, one of the lounges will serve as a dining room able to seat the whole group. Sitting rooms feature a stone fireplace with cosy wood burning stove, as well as impressive panelling and chandeliers, but remain comfy and cosy places to relax in. Each has a sofa bed able to accommodate a couple more guests, too.

The 8 luxury bedrooms are beautifully finished in traditional style suited to the period of the Castle, and with lovely views over the surrounding estate and countryside.

Just outside the patio doors, in the private garden for each half of the castle, you will find a luxury hot tub and teak garden furniture, the perfect setting for those summer evenings.

Orchardleigh Castle is set within stunning 500 acres of parklands, a gated and family owned country estate with a private lake, just 10 miles from the historic and popular city of Bath. Guests staying at the Castle can also take advantage of the 18 hole golf course at the Golf and Country Club in the grounds, as well as the on-site Peacock Steak Restaurant and Stag Lounge. The estate is very well know for its romantic wedding ceremonies.

There is no pool. A modern hot tub Jacuzzi can be found in the garden.

Booking Information

50% deposit required on booking, balance due 1 month prior to stay. 1 night minimum stay. Check in from 4pm, check out by 2pm. But please do ask if we can help with any requests. We do have the Golf Club for a lunch or a drink if arriving earlier than 4pm, and lots of lovely walks around the Estate or a quick 18 holes as well!
