Group Accommodation Lyme Regis
Vibrant Lyme Regis is full of pretty painted houses and the seafront overlooks the 13th-century Cobb and harbour with view across Lyme Bay. Take your group fossil hunting on the beaches or simply spend some time enjoying the simple things, like a stroll along the promenade. The town itself is a maze of narrow streets that contain shops, cafes and pubs. Food is a big part of this creative and cultural little town, so you’ll also find restaurants run by well-known chefs along with the usual seaside staples of ice cream and fish and chip places. If you’re visiting in September, then don’t miss the Food Rocks festival, organised by Mark Hix and often attracting big name chefs to the coast. There’s also a fossil festival on the May Day Bank holiday weekend if you’re more into ammonites than anchovies.
