Group Accommodation Belper
Head to Belper with your group for a stay packed with industrial history. Originally a nail making centre, the industrial revolution brought cotton spinning mills to Belper. Here the first iron-framed mill building (now the Derwent Valley Visitor Centre) has a design which forms the basic high-rise principle for skyscrapers today. But it’s not all about history, and this pretty little market town continues to thrive with some wonderful independent shops that sell everything from antiques to gifts, and a monthly farmers’ market. You’ll be able to sit down with a coffee and a cake and watch the world go by, or nip into one of the many pubs, restaurants or cafes to grab something more substantial after you’ve explored.
