The 2 houses are let as one with exclusive use. Out of season it may be possible for smaller groups to rent just one of the houses.

A charming modernised 18th century 5 bedroom farmhouse, Le Grand Vallon, and a recently built 4 bedroom Provençal villa, Le Petit Vallon, set in a large wooded garden with a swimming pool, 45 minutes from Nice.

This property is ideal for families or groups of friends who want to holiday together but have some independence, as each of the two houses is fully equipped with all its own facilities.

There is ample space for everyone in and around the pool and for al fresco dining together on covered terraces or under the lime trees in the garden. There is plenty to do and visit nearby to suit all ages and interests.

It is 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of the flourishing village of Peymeinade, where there is a supermarket and a variety of shops as well as several bars, cafés and restaurants and a popular weekly market selling local produce, clothes and souvenirs. There is a tennis club with well-maintained clay courts which can be hired by visitors. In the vicinity there are good restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.

And Peymeinade is a wonderful base for exploring the French Riviera and the Alpes-Maritimes and for occasional trips into Italy.

Grasse is 5km away with its famous perfumeries, spectacular views across the Côte d’Azur to the sea and winding cobbled streets of the old quarter. The beautiful lake of St Cassien, 20 minutes away, provides excellent swimming, windsurfing, sailing and boat hire. The nearest beach is 30 minutes away at Cannes La Bocca and the sandy beaches of Antibes, Juan les Pins, Théoule and Agay are also within easy reach.

Other places to see include Cannes, Nice, Monaco, the perched villages of Provence, the Gorges du Verdon, the Picasso museum at Antibes, the galleries of medieval St Paul de Vence.

In winter there is skiing about an hour away.

Facilities

Well-equipped kitchen in both houses. Le Grand Vallon has a separate kitchen, Le Petit Vallon has open plan kitchen/dining/sitting areas.
Inside dining for 8-10 in each house. Al fresco dining on covered terraces in each house and under lime trees in garden for up to 16-20.
Both houses have spacious sitting areas with comfortable sofas and armchairs. Le Grand Vallon has an open fireplace and archway to dining area.
Satellite TV with freeview & DVD players in both houses. There is a digital piano with weighted keys in the sitting room of Le Grand Vallon.
There is a telephone and WiFi in both houses.
There is a good, full size, table tennis table on Le Grand Vallon’s covered terrace near the pool and ample space in the garden to play ball games.
Both houses have central heating. Le Grand Vallon also has an open fireplace. Air conditioning is available in every room in Le Grand Vallon.
Le Grand Vallon sleeps 9 in 5 bedrooms (2 en suite). Le Petit Vallon sleeps 7 in 4 bedrooms (3 en suite). A mix of twin, double and family rooms.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets, pillows, hand towels and tea towels are provided.
Le Grand Vallon: 3 bathrooms of which 2 are en suite and 2 separate WCs. Le Petit Vallon: 4 bathrooms of which 3 are en suite and 1 separate WC.
Both houses have a bedroom with en suite bathroom on the ground floor. Please contact us to discuss any requirements for the less mobile.
Good quality travel cots and high chairs provided in both houses. There are some swimming pool / beach toys and board games.
Each house has a large covered terrace and tables and chairs for al fresco dining. Charcoal barbecue. Plenty of sun loungers. Swimming pool shower.
The heated, south-facing, 10 x 5m pool is a wonderful place to swim or relax with mature trees all around and ample space for sun loungers. Has alarm.
There is off-street parking beside each of the houses and a separate entrance from the road to each house.
No smoking inside the houses but there is plenty of space for smokers outside.

Location

Côte d’Azur – miles of attractive coastline with beaches, huge freshwater lake of St Cassien and pretty perched villages of Alpes-Maritimes. Activities nearby.
Peymeinade, 0.5km, 10 mins walk, is an attractive and flourishing village. Grasse, 5km, is one of the jewels of the Côte d’Azur.
Peymeinade has a big supermarket and good selection of smaller shops selling local Provençale specialities and also chemist, clothes shops.
Several good bars/eateries in Peymeinade and other top class restaurants nearby including Le Vieux Chateau in Cabris, Le Bastide de St Antoine in Grasse.

Booking Information

A quarter of the rent is payable to secure the booking. Balance payable two months before start of holiday plus deposit of £300.
Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival after 4pm. Departure before 10am.
Cleaning is the responsibility of guests.
