Stibbington Centre is a Cambridgeshire County Council Education Department establishment whose primary function is to provide Environmental Education support for schools in the form of tutored residential and day courses. At times when the Centre is not required by schools, its facilities may be hired by other organisations.

The residential centre consists of bedroom accommodation for a total of 38, with 12 separate bedrooms, including 7 rooms for four, 2 triples, 1 twin and 2 singles. Bedding is not provided, so residential visitors should bring a pillowcase and sleeping bag or sheet and duvet.

Within the same building are three good sized rooms: a dining room with kitchens attached including cooking and dining equipment for 38; a lounge with TV, DVD player and video player; and a classroom/craft room with sink. The building also contains cloakroom space, utility room, toilets and washing facilities.

The grounds are self-contained and consist of ample car parking space, a playground, picnic tables, playing field, trim trail play area and wildlife garden.

Surrounding Area:
The rural village of Stibbington is situated just off the A1 near to the interchange with the A47 at Wansford. The village has a cafe serving traditional hot food 24 hours per day. There is easy access to the attractions of Peterborough and Stamford which are both approximately 10 minutes drive along with local attractions of the Nene Valley including the Nene Valley Railway and Sacrewell Farm. The village of Wansford is approximately 5 minutes drive/30 minute walk away and has a hotel, two pubs and a post office/shop.

As part of the Learning Directorate of Cambridgeshire County Council, the principal reason for our existence is to work with and support groups with a learning or training focus. With this in mind, we are not a suitable venue for parties or hen or stag weekends, and we ask all groups that in whatever they do they take this into account.

The kitchen is a professionally equipped commercial kitchen with an oven, hot cupboard and hob. A fridge and freezer are available.
Dining Room
Seating up to 38 the dining room provides enough space for a full house of visitors to eat together.
Sitting Room
The main lounge area is equipped with comfortable modular low level seating. A smaller lounge area is also available off the bedroom corridor.
TV and Music Facilities
A TV with freeview and DVD player is available for residents use in the main lounge area.
Telecom Facilities
WiFi is available at no extra charge. Payphone in house and excellent mobile phone reception. There is a direct line telephone for incoming calls.

Heating / Open Fires
The centre is equipped with state of the art oil fired heating. This provides a warm and cosy atmosphere even in the depths of winter.
There are 12 separate bedrooms, including 7 rooms for four with bunk beds, 2 triples with bunk and single beds, 1 twin and 2 singles.
Linen is not provided.
4 bathrooms are available. Two with 2 showers and 3 toilets, 1 with electric shower and 1 with bath with shower attachment.

The centre is wheelchair accessible and there are disabled toilet facilities in one bathroom.

A playground with a trim trail and playing field is available in the centre grounds.
Outdoor Facilities
The self contained grounds include a trim trail, playground, seated picnic area, a playing field and a wildlife garden with pond area.
Swimming Pool
None on site. Swimming pool facilities available nearby in Stamford and Peterborough.
There is a large car park with parking for up to 20 cars at the front of the centre.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
No pets can be accommodated.
