The two properties are suitable for individual occupation, or a larger group of up to 39 can take the whole house. This arrangement works particularly well for friends or families away together, or for extended family groups, where there is plenty of room for adults and children to enjoy their own space.

On 4 floors, the house offers some of the most well equipped accommodation in the Peak District. There is double glazing and gas central heating throughout.

The ground floor and basement has a large hallway with original features through to an inner hallway and a good size kitchen diner. The lounge can seat at least 10, with a TV and gas fire. Five bedrooms sleep 20 in a mixture of single, double and bunk beds, and there are two shower rooms.

On the first floor there is a lounge with TV and electric stove effect fire, and fitted kitchen. Two bedrooms sleep a total of up to 10 people (with a mixture of single, double and bunk beds) and there are two shower rooms.

On the second floor is a lounge/dining area which can sit around 16, fitted kitchen, bathroom with shower over the bath, showerroom and two bedrooms sleeping up 9 (with a mixture of single, double and bunk beds).

Outside there is space for dining and a barbecue area. For something really special, hot tubs are available for private hire on request.

Good train and bus links mean that it is a great spot to go and explore with or without a car. The many activities in and around the Peak District suit a variety of ages - enjoy a visit to Buxton's Opera House, the Pavilion Gardens, Poole's Cavern and Go Ape, as well as Alton Towers, Matlock Bath, Gulliver's Kingdom, Tissington Reservoir and Castleton.

There is a good variety of walks and rock climbing areas throughout the Peak District including Millers Dale, Chee Dale, Cressbrook Dale, Dove Dale, Monsal Dale and Tissington Trail.

Large country houses nearby include Haddon Hall, Lyma Park, Tissington Hall and Chatsworth.

2 dining rooms able to seat 20 each. Works well with children eating in one room and adults in the other. Buffet style, everyone can eat together.
Lounge areas provide space for relaxing with TVs and games available.
TVs in both lounges.

There is no games room.
Gas central heating throughout.
Mix of doubles, twins and bunks.
Bedding is provided for all guests and laundry facilities are available. Please be aware towels are not provided.
1 apartment has bathroom and shower room, the other has 3 shower rooms.
2 ground floor bedrooms and WC/shower on ground floor, suitable for those experiencing difficulty with stairs.
Travel cot and high chair available.
Barbecue area, paved, with large seating area at the side of the house.
There is no pool, but there are public facilities in Buxton.
Parking for 10 cars comfortably off road, right outside.

Within 10 minutes walk of the centre of Buxton, and very close to the green belt. Bordering the Peak District National Park and close to major cities including Manchester, Sheffield and Derby.
On the outskirts of Buxton, 10 minute walk to the centre.
Tesco within 300 yards, with a larger supermarket 5 minutes drive away.
Lots of choice in Buxton within a short walk.
