The Eco Lodge is made up of three interconnecting apartments, with 6 bedrooms and 3 kitchen/living room spaces with a surprisingly flexible internal layout. There are four twin rooms and two double rooms. Two of the twin rooms can be converted to doubles on request. All bedrooms are en suite except one which has a shower room nearby. Sleeps 12 on proper beds but there is additional accommodation for 2 on z-beds (suitable for children) and 2 cots.

Built using sustainable timber for the main frame, we have a biomass heating system using locally sourced wood pellet fuel. Rainwater and waste water run to an Award Winning biodiversity-boosting wetland treatment system. Electricity is generated from our own PV solar panels. Sheep’s wool insulation enhances heat conservation and all is topped by a living green (sedum based) roof.

All our beds are hand-made locally from FSC timber, with mattresses made from natural materials. Our bed linen and towels are 100% organic cotton and blankets are made from pure wool woven in a local mill.

40 acre nature reserve with over 2km of gentle trails for all guests to explore at their leisure. A woodland play area for children to reconnect with their wild side.

Throughout the year we host a huge range of ecology, natural craft and sustainable living workshops; from Basket Weaving to Bird ID and from Crochet to Cob Oven Building. We can also offer bespoke activities for your own group.

A barbecue area for guests to use and a cob pizza oven for special events arranged throughout the season.
