Fyrish House is the former dower house to Novar Estate with parts of the building dating back to the 17th century. Comfortable and well equipped, the house is ideal for family and friend groups.

The downstairs accommodation comprises a large kitchen with Aga, drawing room, sitting room, dining room, conservatory and a downstairs en suite bedroom. Upstairs are 3 first floor bedrooms and a further 3 bathrooms and 2 attic bedrooms.

Dogs are welcome in downstairs non-carpeted areas and there is also a kennel.

The house is heated with a modern wood chip boiler system and logs are provided for open fires.

Fyrish House offers an ideal base from which to explore the North Highlands, to walk or mountain bike for hours on forest or hill tracks or to sample the many golf courses in the area including Royal Dornoch, Tain, Golspie and Nairn.

Fishing on the River Alness is often available to guests.

White Egyptian cotton linen and towels provided. Feather mattress toppers and duvets. Hypoallergenic bedding available on request. Cots available.
Downstairs en suite shower room, 2 en suite bathrooms on first floor with baths and separate showers. Family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Downstairs bedroom and shower room with access to kitchen and garden.
Cots and high chairs available on request.
Outdoor dining table and chairs for 12. Barbecue. Large garden. Kennel.
There is no swimming pool.
Parking for up to 8 cars.
No smoking inside the property please.
Dogs allowed in downstairs non carpeted areas and kennels. Space for crates. Access to good ground for gundog training. No other pets permitted.

Location

Overlooking the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle. Direct access to 150 miles of paths and tracks for walking or mountain biking. Private drive.
Three miles from Evanton.
Evanton has a grocery shop and post office.
Novar Arms Hotel is in Evanton with the Storehouse less than five miles away with a good delicatessen, farm shop and day time restaurant.
