Lower Bupton House, Compton Bassett, Wiltshire

This wonderful country house is a perfect place to gather friends or family together, with the large rooms ideal for entertaining and yet also offering a warm cosy atmosphere. Set within its own 10 acres there is plenty of outside space including a gorgeous garden, wooded area, tennis court and hot tub. The long private drive is a great place for the younger generation to ride their bikes. The house allows everyone to gather together or find a quiet spot both inside and outside.

Lower Bupton House (and adjoining annex) comprises 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The hallway leads into a large kitchen with a snug adjacent. The large dining room sits 20 comfortably and leads through double doors into a large drawing room complete with grand piano for those that play, or sit and relax in the library area.

Double doors lead from the drawing room into the garden with wonderful views over open countryside. Walks are directly from the house across open countryside and for the more energetic there is a tennis court with rackets and balls provided. The long drive is perfect for children cycling or take bikes for long rides along the lanes. If you enjoy riding we can arrange local riding, or you can bring your own horse. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.

The annex comprises a twin bedroom, new bathroom and super sitting room. It is perfect for inter generational parties or someone needing a downstairs bedroom.

Lower Bupton House is a great house for families, groups of friends having a reunion, hen nights, milestone birthdays, and all types of celebration including weddings.

It's just a short drive from Lower Bupton House to Marlborough, Avebury and Lacock and only 40 minutes from Bath. The picturesque village of Compton Bassett is 2 miles away with a fantastic pub and you might even spot Robbie Williams who has a house here.
