Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
National Trust - Emley Farmhouse, Surrey, sleeps 5-10 in 5 bedrooms.
With the safety of our guests and staff in mind, and in line with government advice, we are extending the closure period of our holiday operations until Tuesday 30 June 2020. We will continue to review the situation on a regular basis.
Bring a group of friends or family to stay at this wonderful National Trust-owned farmhouse on the edge of the South Downs. You'll all love the place, which is filled with history wherever you look. The loft is also home to a colony of long-eared bats who roost there. The pretty town of Petworth (and the beautiful grand house of the same name) are both 25 minutes by car.
The handsome farmhouse with beamed ceilings and period furniture makes a great base for a break near the Surrey Hills AONB, where you can all enjoy countryside rambles. Inside, there's plenty of space to relax, with 2 sitting rooms (each with a wood burner). There's also a fabulous cream painted kitchen with a range and an Aga, and a breakfast table. The separate dining room seats 10 and has another wood burner to keep mealtimes cosy if you're having a winter getaway.
Upstairs the character continues with most of the ceilings beamed in the 5 bedrooms (the master is particularly impressive). There are 2 doubles and 3 twins with wooden steps into each room, so do watch your step. There are also 2 bathrooms (1 with a walk in shower, the other with a shower over the bath).
