Plas Mount Hazel is a large spacious Georgian house with many original features but furnished with modern comforts in mind. The 10th Lord Newborough was born in the house. Plas Mount Hazel has proven ideal for family and friends get togethers, birthday parties and anniversary celebrations of all sorts.

The house has ground floor reception rooms with bedrooms and bathrooms spread over the 2 upper floors. On the ground floor there is a large entrance/dining hall with dining/banqueting table and enough space for all the guests to dine together. The morning room has patio doors opening to the large south facing garden. The main sitting room has a TV and open fire and large double doors interconnect to form an extra large reception area.

There is a well equipped kitchen/diner with a large dining table and large breakfast bar. The separate utility area has a freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, extra dishwasher and downstairs cloakroom.

2 sets of stairs lead to the first floor which has 4 double bedrooms: a master suite with en suite and large sitting area, a four poster bedroom plus 2 double bedrooms that can interconnect. There's a bathroom and separate shower room and toilet. The second floor had 3 double and 1 twin bedrooms and a shared bathroom.

There are lovely sea views from the upstairs west facing bedrooms and from the garden. Plus mountain, garden and rural views from the downstairs and the east facing bedrooms.

The house sits in its own 9 acres of land - plenty of space for children to explore and run around. It has a large lawn for ball games, a walled garden, small woodland area for picnics and a large rough field to the front. There are 2 patio areas with a charcoal barbecue, picnic tables and a hot tub.

Although private and rural, the house is very close to the World Heritage site of Caernarfon Castle and lovely old town pubs and restaurants .The nearest beach is Dinas Dinlle, 5 minutes away, and Mount Snowdon is a 15 minute drive. Abersoch and the lovely beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula are all within a 20 minute drive. There is so much do locally - from zip wires to horse riding, golf to fishing, sailing to cycling.

The house has a central dining hall which can accommodate a banqueting table seating 16. Reception rooms interconnect forming a large reception area.

Oil central heating throughout. Fireplace in the main sitting room.

There are no specific disabled facilities.
Plenty of outside space for children to play, roam and explore. 2 bedrooms interlink. Cots and high chairs available. Board and outdoor games.
9 acres of land - large flat lawned area, walled garden, orchard, small woodland area with picnic table, rough field, 3 patio areas. Hot tub.
There is no swimming pool.
Wooded drive leads to either the front parking area for about 4/5 cars or the garage courtyard area with room for another 5/6 cars.
No smoking.
2 dogs, allowed in the kitchen and utility areas only.


5 minutes drive to the beach and 10 minutes from Snowdon but set in a rural location 2 minutes from the A499 and 10 minutes from the A55. The Coastal path and cycle track is 5 mins walking distance.
Historic Caernarfon is the nearest town 3 miles away. With a castle, old town, harbour, small railway, golf course, indoor play facility, tennis and leisure centre.
Convenience store - 2 miles - one in Dolydd Garage and one in Bontnewydd. Supermarkets - Caernarfon. Tesco and Waitrose deliver to the property. Farm shop that takes online orders, about 3 miles.
10 minutes walk to Stables Bar and Restaurant. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and a club in Caernarfon.

Booking Information

From £1850 for a weekend/mid week low season. Low/Mid season rates can vary in holiday periods.
Changeover usually Friday. Weekly lets only at peak times (including School Holidays).
