The setting of Quaker Barns makes for a wonderfully relaxing, rural retreat. Deer can often be seen leaping across neighbouring fields and there is an abundance of birds and wildlife. An adjacent footpath allows for country walks direct from the door and miles of quiet lanes, perfect for cyclists, surround the property.

If you are celebrating a birthday, family reunion, hen party or similar you may want to consider organising outside catering or entertainment for your gathering at Quaker Barns – previous guests have organised pamper/beauty therapy parties, life drawing lessons and cocktail masterclasses at the barns and should you wish to organise similar activities you would be more than welcome to do so.

Quaker Barns is also ideally situated if you are looking to get out-and-about and explore some of Norfolk’s top inland and coastal attractions. The dog friendly woods and parkland of Blickling Estate (National Trust) is just 10 minutes’ drive away as is the Marriott’s Way, a 26-mile footpath that follows the routes of two disused railway lines. It’s also less than half an hour to Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads, where you can rent a boat, canoe or join a paddle steamer river cruise and explore the waterways of Britain’s largest protected wetland. The fabulous North Norfolk coast with its big skies and sandy beaches is just over 30 minutes’ away and the historic city of Norwich, with a centre that’s easy to walk around, can be reached in around 20 minutes by car.

If you are interested in beachcombing, boating, cycling, coastal hikes, heritage railways, stately homes, wildlife watching or woodland walks, then the beaches, country estates, waterways, woods, and pretty villages close to Quaker Barns will provide you with a variety of memorable days out.
