Rectory Manor is located in a conservation area surrounded by thatched cottages.

For a wedding party, a celebration weekend or a simple get together with friends or family, the 5 star rated Rectory Manor Hotel gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the spaciousness and graciousness of being in a wonderful historic home. Or relish this wonderful setting for a corporate retreat or reward weekend.

Rectory Manor Hotel offers Bed and Breakfast, and can cater for other meals if required - the choice is yours. The minimum stay is 2 nights, but we offer short breaks throughout the year.

We offer 7 large luxuriously and individually decorated double en suite bedrooms, both in the house itself and The Old Stables, with all the trimmings you might expect including Hi-speed WiFi, HD TVs and Minibars plus toiletries from Penhaligons.

The delightful grounds offer extensive gardens with a swimming pool and tennis court, creating the perfect setting to unwind. Enjoy the personal attention of our in-house butler and relax in the drawing room by a roaring log fire where you will also find an honesty bar and stack of good reading material.

During you stay you can enjoy:

- The dining room in the house with a medieval refectory table for great gatherings
- Use of the fabulous grounds where you can relax or expend a bit of energy playing tennis on our court or swimming in our outdoor pool. We can also set up croquet for you

Facilities

Only available if self-catering. There are no kitchen facilities available to guests staying for Bed and Breakfast or fully catered for groups only.
The large dining room, with a large fire, features a medieval refectory table that seats 14 - perfect for great gatherings.
There is a delightful drawing room in the main house with a stack of great reading material, music centre, home cinema and an honesty bar.
Each bedroom has a flat screen HD TV plus a DVD player. There is a music system in the drawing room, together with a home cinema.
We are happy for guests to use the phone, we charge just the cost. Good mobile phone reception. We also have Hi-speed WiFi throughout (75Mb Down).
There is no separate games room.
We have fires throughout the year in the main hall, the dining room and in the drawing room...very important!
7 individually designed en suite bedrooms in total, all with views of the garden. One is a hand carved Four-Poster. 6 doubles, another a garden suite.
Look forward to crisp white Egyptian cotton, fluffy towels and bathrobes, all included.
All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, some with separate showers and all with a selection of bathroom goodies, fluffy towels and bathrobes.
We have a double en suite bedroom, the Garden Suite, on the ground floor in The Old Stables. It has a walk in shower. No wheelchair access.
Cot and high chair available.
Outdoor swimming pool (April-September, 28'c), Tennis court with rackets and balls, Heatwave Sauna and Croquet (with a few challenging bumps!).
The outdoor swimming pool (28'c) is available from April to September and is heated to 28'c. It is set in a wonderfully sunny spot in the garden.
Ample parking is available on the private driveway.
We ask that there is no smoking in the house or The Old Stables and that if you smoke outside, ends are carefully disposed of in the pots provided.
We welcome sociable well behaved dogs for a small extra charge and have dog beds to spare. We do have friendly Labradors and a cat.

Location

We are in the hamlet of Great Waldingfield village. From Sudbury (B1115) turn right, signposted to the church, which we are diagonally opposite.
Lavenham is one of the finest medieval villages in England and a delight to visit, and in the opposite direction Sudbury has great amenities.
Small grocer, post office and paper shop in Great Waldingfield village. More shops from the gorgeous to the practical in Lavenham and Sudbury.
We have many great places to eat nearby for all tastes and budgets. The Swan pub is a 15 minute walk across the fields in Little Waldingfield.
