The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell, Derbyshire, sleeps 2-60 in 33 bedrooms.
Steeped in history this 19th century hotel of warmth and character was originally built in 1804 by the then Duke of Rutland. The Rutland Arms stands proudly in the centre of picturesque Bakewell, a bustling market town at the heart of the Peak District National Park. The breath-taking scenery in the surrounding area is magnificent, a true walkers' paradise.
The Rutland has played host to many celebrated guests in its long history, including Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Turner and Byron. In 1859, the hotel’s kitchen became the birthplace of the now famous Bakewell Pudding.
The Rutland Arms Hotel offers an ideal setting for intimate family gatherings, a civil ceremony or wedding reception for up to 120 guests. Weddings can even book exclusive use of the hotel.
