Welcome to Springfield Coach House, a traditional Cotswolds stone detached holiday cottage near Stroud, accommodating 10 to 12 guests. Perfect for extended family gatherings, friends get-togethers and celebrations.

Situated in the Golden Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by countryside walks, including the canal path under restoration west to Stroud, or east to Daneway, or hill walks up to Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons. Country pubs and many restaurants to choose from. The region is home to many craftsmen and artists, and the award winning Stroud Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings.

All 4 bedrooms have zip link convertible twin single or superking double bed options. There is an extra single bed in 2 of the bedrooms to provide sleeping accommodation for up to 10 guests in single beds, or up to 4 couples plus singles. The double sofa bed and sling-style canvas camp bed in the second reception room provide further flexibility for a total of up to 5 couples or 12 singles.

Excellent quality hotel standard pocket spring beds, 100% cotton white linen, dust mite breathable barrier protection enclosing pillows and on mattresses, hypoallergenic duvets and pillows, or feather on request.

The Lavender Bakehouse and Coffee Shop just over the hedge - perfect for breakfast, and they also cater for special occasions with ready prepared buffet platters, canapes, cakes.

Local places to visit are too numerous to list here - suffice to say something for everyone, and lots to keep the teenagers and kids entertained too. The area is ideal for all seasons for walkers and cyclists, with a multitude of local routes online available to download, and ample storage for muddy boots and bikes in the garage.

Three night weekend bookings or 3/4/5 night midweek breaks welcome (excludes Christmas/New Year) with reduced rates for Sunday nights. Two night weekend bookings available all year (excludes Bank Holidays) with optional late Sunday departures for small additional cost. Friday or Saturday single night breaks to include morning arrival and/or late evening departure the following day.

Family bathroom with bath and top of the range Mira electric shower over. One en suite with bath and power shower over. Separate cloakroom WC/basin.

Children's Facilities

Travel cots, high chairs and door gates (not suitable for stairs) on request, subject to availability. Chalford Park and Playground a 10 min stroll.

Outdoor

Small private gravelled area to the back with table and 6 chairs. Property enclosed by gates, fencing and stone walls. There is no cultivated garden.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool, but Stroud has public leisure facilities, including both an indoor swimming pool and traditional open air swimming lido.

Parking

Parking for 2 or 3 cars inside the property gates on the gravel. One extra small car may be parked on the private drive tucked in by the hedge.

Smoking

No smoking permitted inside the property. You are of course welcome to smoke outside.

Edge of village location on a private drive off A419. Easy main route access to M4 & M5. Central for trips to Oxford, Bath, Stratford Upon Avon, Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cotswolds villages.

  • Local buses on London Road, just a few minutes walk. National Coach stops in Stroud and Cirencester.
  • Stroud station is 4 miles, and on the main line London to Cheltenham Spa - London Paddington is 90 minutes.
  • Stroud - 4 miles. Renowned for its award winning Farmer's Market every Saturday morning. Pop in to the Cotswold Canals Trust Visitor centre. Cirencester - 7 miles - our largest Cotswolds town.
  • Chalford Village community shop, few minutes walk. Open 8am-2pm, 4pm-6pm weekdays, 8am-1pm Sat/Sun. Convenience store Brimscombe, 2 miles. Waitrose and other shops, restaurants... in Stroud, 4 miles.
  • Lavender Bakehouse and Coffee Shop, 1 minute walk. Open 9am to 5pm Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm Sunday to Wednesday. Lots of country pubs and places to eat locally.
  • Heathrow Airport 90 miles, Birmingham Airport 70 miles, Bristol Airport 40 miles.
