This beautiful Grade II listed Arts and Crafts Country House, was built in 1915 It has stunning views to Snowdonia and across the Irish Sea and is visible from many points across Anglesey. It is located a few minutes walk from the famous South Stack lighthouse and is surrounded by Anglesey's very own designated AONB - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's unique location and peaceful & private setting make it stand out from many other houses.
The main house can be booked as one of two wings or both sides sleeping 10 guests each with interconnecting doors. All principal rooms have stunning views and the house has additional annexe rooms and cottages, together with 2 cosy garden pods for those wanting complete isolation! There are fully fitted kitchens and a huge dining room capable of holding 28 guests - a large kitchen table can also accommodate a further 6 guests.
The bedrooms are all well appointed and there are a large number of bathrooms some en-suite offering plenty of luxury.
Located near the popular Porth Dafarch and Trearddur Bay beaches, South Stack Lighthouse & Elins Tower and Holyhead Country park there is plenty to see and do. The house is a wonderful peaceful retreat from nearby towns and excellent for wild life lovers. There are countless outdoor activities on our door step including walks, boat trips, kayaking, coasteering, karting etc
A great place for family reunions, group get togethers, posh hen or stag parties, or a corporate retreat. Take a stroll round the large grounds and find a private spot to sink into the scenery or escape the daily routine!
Only 5 mins by taxi to the main line Holyhead railway station, Tan Y Cytiau is easily accessed from London & The North West. the A55 dual carriageway also provides easy road access. At the house plenty of parking provision is available.

Tan Y Cytiau (literally translated as "Beneath the Ancient Houses") is located adjacent to this ancient site where early settlers from 500BC once lived. Remains of the Hut Circles still exist and following recent excavations the houses can be clearly identified and examples of stone furniture still remain.
