Glamping at White House Farm is a real gem, perfect for friends and family holidays or weekend breaks away from it all. Just a short walk from the River Wye, the experience offers plenty of fun activities, peace, tranquility and tons of space for the kids to run around freely. The open air cinema at White House promises to be one of the highlights.
The 6 tipis are well spaced among the orchard’s apple trees. Enough to give you privacy, but not too far away if you’re booking as a group. Each tipi has upcycled furniture inside and out, with an indoor heater, lighting and electricity points. Each tipi has a barbecue, firepit, fridge and stove and there is a communal kitchen for meal preparation. Dining tends to be al fresco on picnic benches or the pallet seats. Tipis have shared showers and toilets which are kept clean and sparkling by the owners. There is a king and 3 singles in each tipi, comfy beds with attractive soft furnishings and decor.
The Nordic cabin is a unique addition, ideal for couples looking for a romantic bolthole with a wood burning stove, open all year round. It benefits from being off grid and solar powered emphasising the owners' commitment to sustainability. The cabin has a small kitchenette with gas hob as well as a barbecue and fire pit for cooking outside. The Scandi style cabin has a double bed next to an enormous picture window to enjoy fabulous views, and its own bathroom and an outside bath tub!
Close proximity to the River Wye means all sorts of water activities can be enjoyed such as paddleboarding, cold water swimming, fishing and canoeing. The secret beach next to the river is a magical spot for a picnic and a paddle. There are lots of trails for walking and cycling from the farm. Maybe jump in the car and take a tour of pretty Herefordshire villages, especially Woolhope with the highly recommended Crown pub. Pop into the market town of Ross-on-Wye and investigate the Vintage Shopping Trail or the many cafes and restaurants.
