Fully open during March-November for individuals and groups, it is also available for exclusive use for groups November – February.

Set in its own grounds in the market town of Wooler, the Hostel now sleeps 53 in its newly refurbished en suite rooms and Shepherds' Huts.
Purpose built in 1943 to accommodate the Land Army girls. Interpretation panels displayed around the hostel tell of the buildings fascinating history, making it the ideal place for educational group visits for children.
A large self-catered kitchen is open to guests . Other facilities include a large dining room/common room with WiFi, Large on-site car park and safe secure cycle storage. Spread over one floor the Hostel full disability access throughout. A laundry room is available with specialist drying facilities.
Location and proximity to a number of Northumberland's treasures such as Northumberland National Park, the St. Cuthbert's Way and it’s spectacular views of the Glendale's and Cheviot Hills make it ideal specialist groups to visit. Other nearby attractions include bird watching at the sea bird sanctuary on the Farne Islands, and castles such as Etal, Alnwick and Bamburgh and the miles of sandy beaches on the Northumberland coast.
Other attractions include the Wooler cycle hub routes, and the quiet lanes of the Pennines cycle way. Or for the more adventurous the near bridleways are perfect for mountain biking for example the Sandstone Way a new 120 mile / 193 km mountain bike route in Northumberland between Berwick upon Tweed and Hexham providing some of the best bouldering in the UK. Accredited with the a 3 star Hostel Badge and also open to the Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Scheme.
