Great value camping barn sleeping 12 for back to basics weekends, youth and team building, in the Peak District

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Alstonefield Camping Barn, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Peak District, sleeps 10-12 in 1 bedrooms.

Are you looking to truly escape the stresses of modern day living in a peaceful, secluded setting with friends and family - if so then our basic Camping Barn with no electric, WiFi or distractions is the ideal place to be. This barn offers a 'back to basics' experience with plenty of atmosphere.

Sleeping up to 12 the barn also suits scouts, school and D of E Groups, as well as being a great venue for children's sleepover parties. Groups involved in team building events are also welcome. Weather permitting, an extra 4 persons can bring their own tent and camp in the meadow next to the barn (additional charge and by prior arrangement only).

The barn is traditional with exposed stonework and characterful wooden beams. The large communal bedroom on the first floor has far reaching views from both windows and the safety barrier around the stairwell has been made from the original old wooden hay stalls which were in situ when the barn was used to house the cattle over the winter months.

Guests need to bring everything as if they were camping: good sleeping bag, foam mat or blow up air bed (mattresses not provided), camping stove and fuel for cooking, utensils, plates, cutlery, saucepans, (though a limited amount is provided), one torch per person (as there is no electricity at the barn), flat tea light candles - it is not safe to use ordinary candles. Candle holders and an initial supply of tealights are provided. Bring your own dry seasoned logs or smokeless fuel for the multi fuel stove or you can buy some logs from us by prior arrangement.

The barn is in a fantastic position for accessing numerous walks and cycle routes in the Peak District. Plus it's close to many other attractions including stately homes and theme parks. The local village is only a mile away and has a couple of great pubs serving food.

Come and experience camping without the risk of being wet and cold!
