Within an area of outstanding natural beauty and in a friendly, farming environment sits Bretherdale Barn. Surrounded by open countryside, spectacular views can be enjoyed from all rooms. Amazing summer sunsets, with spring green fields dotted with lambs, wild deer and foals, autumn skies and winter freshness, make Bretherdale a perfect location to relax and explore the Lakes and Dales at any time of the year.

Comfort, touches of luxury, and attention to detail is our signature style for this property. The newly converted barn has a contemporary style with 5 double bedrooms with en suite facilities “Boutique Hotel” style. The house also offers an outdoor seating area overlooking different aspects of the surrounding valley and fells.

Guests can also enjoy the facilities of a dedicated spa building with sauna/steam rooms to relax in, spa towels, showers and changing areas. Drying cupboards are provided for walkers and cyclists to dry their things ready for another day! There's a game room too with a pool table and Wii and Xbox games.

Garage parking is provided for 4 cars plus additional parking for at least another 4-6 cars within the boundaries of the property.

On arrival guests will find a Cumbrian welcome pack of local organic eggs, milk, artisan baked bread, jam, ground coffee and tea.

Facilities

The well equipped kitchen and breakfast area ensure there is plenty of space for all.
There is ample space for everyone to dine together.
Spacious lounge with large sofas.
Full Sky HD package, surround sound, iPod dock, with a full DVD, Wii and Xbox setup in the games room.
There is a mobile signal on some networks. Also we have wireless broadband available, and a land line for incoming calls.
A games room, located next to the Spa, is available with a pool table, Wii and Xbox 360 games as well as a LED television with DVD surround sound.
Wood burning stove. Central heating throughout.
5 double bedrooms with en suite facilities.
Top quality cotton linen is provided.
The barn bedrooms are all en suite, with an extra bathroom.
We do not have any special equipment for disabled guests.
Games room ideal for younger guests, with computer games and a pool table.
Outdoor seating area overlooking different aspects of the surrounding valley and fells.
We do not have a pool. But we do have a dedicated spa building with sauna/steam rooms, showers and changing areas.
Garage parking is provided for 4 cars plus additional parking for at least another 4-6 cars within the boundaries of the property.
Smoking is not permitted indoors.
We do not accommodate pets.

Orton has a post office and store and junction 38 of the M6 boasts an award winning food shop, providing local, quality organic produce.
There are a number of good pubs in near by Orton, Tebay and Shap.
