Situated in the heart of the Lake District, Hestead is a fully-equipped cottage in a tranquil rural setting. Accommodating 9 guests comfortably across 4 bedrooms, the self-catering property is ideal for a get-together with family and friends.

With sole occupancy, plentiful parking and all the facilities you’ll need for a brilliant weekend, Hestead is a great value choice for a short break in the Lakes.

Located on the rolling estate of Brathay Hall, this accommodation is in a fantastic location for adventure weekends and relaxing gatherings alike. With a backdrop of mountains and the north shore of Lake Windermere just minutes away, there is spectacular scenery right on your doorstep.

For those looking to explore the great outdoors, hiking, cycling routes and a variety of outdoor activities are all readily accessible from the property. The popular town of Ambleside is a 15 minute walk, with its great selection of shops, restaurants and traditional pubs.

The accommodation spans two floors. There is an accessible twin room on the ground floor, complete with an en-suite wet room. Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms, accommodating 4 guests in bunk beds, a twin room and an additional single room, bathroom facilities and storage areas. The cottage is completed by a fully-fitted kitchen and a large lounge with sofas, a flatscreen television and an iPod docking station.

Hestead provides an additional source of income for the Brathay Trust, a charity working with young people across the country (Registered Charity no. 1021586). Their mission is to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities.
