Mill House is a large property sleeping 17, suitable for family gatherings, corporate events, weekends away with friends, and for walking or cycling breaks. There are 8 bedrooms, 2 of them en suite with a further 2 bathrooms. A cot is available.

There's plenty of choice of reception rooms too, including a formal Drawing Room with an open fire and TV, a cosy TV lounge and a library with a seating area. Beautiful features include marble flooring in entrance hall and staircase. Facilities include satellite television and Netflix and Sonos Wireless sound system.The fully fitted and equipped kitchen has ample seating in the dining area.

Outside there is a games room with a snooker table and lovely private gardens with a barbecue area, patio heater and chiminea.

Mill House is in a great location for a family holiday with a wealth of places to visit and attractions for everyone to enjoy. New Lanark conservation village is just a 5 minute drive away, with the village of New Lanark known as the gateway to the Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve, which is owned and managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. The scenic Clyde Valley is nearby and is pretty with fruit tree blossom in spring, with several garden centres to visit. The area has excellent amenities and facilities with golf, fishing, cycling and walking popular in the area.

The market town of Lanark is a short drive away, with excellent rail links to Edinburgh and Glasgow providing an endless choice of day-trips. The town has an array of shops, restaurants and pubs too, as well as an agricultural and auction market, with weekly car boot sale and other exhibits.

Other local attractions include:
- New Mill Trout and Fishery Farm, within walking distance of Mill House
- South Lanarkshire Lifestyles - with a gym, swimming pool, fitness classes and a small cafe area
- Lanark Loch for boating, pitch and putt, and a play park
- The Scottish Equestrian Centre where horse riding is available
- Craignethan Castle - a fascinating ruin of a castle, built in 1532
- Great Family Puppet Shows in Biggar - the world famous Scottish theatre company, the International Purves Puppets

No specific facilities for disabled guests but suitable for those with restricted mobility. Ground floor twin bedroom but no downstairs shower/bath.

There is no pool.

Location

Mill House is equidistant from Glasgow and Edinburgh (both approx 30 miles). The New Lanark World Heritage Site, Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve and Clyde Valley are only a short drive away.
Lanark is an historic market town famous for the Monday auction market. The town also boasts a recently refurbished swimming pool and leisure complex, several parks, library and local golf clubs.
Just a few minutes drive to Lanark or Carstairs Village.
Lanark has numerous restaurants and pubs.

Booking Information

All bookings are subject to a £300 refundable security deposit that is required to be paid 7 days prior to arrival. To secure your booking a deposit of 25% is required and the balance due six weeks prior to arrival.
