Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
National Trust - Godolphin House, Cornwall, sleeps 6-12 in 6 bedrooms.
Bring a group of friends, or celebrate a special family occasion at this wonderfully restored manor house in Cornwall. As you'd expect for somewhere owned by the National Trust, there are historic features to admire everywhere you turn, from the linen-fold panelling, stone fireplaces, flagstone and quarry tiled floors and 4 poster beds.
The striking building with its stone columns and walkway is the perfect spot for a get-together and you'll be rewarded with a memorable stay in its wonderful spaces. The garden is mainly lawned with a large outdoor dining table, so if the weather is kind, you can all head outdoors for your meals. Inside it's as grand and atmospheric as the gardens, with a wonderful entrance hall, kitchen, dining room, double bedroom, shower room and utility all on the ground floor. Take one of the two staircases to the first floor where you'll find the elegant saloon running across the front width of the house, and a smaller second sitting room with a wood burner that you can enjoy on cooler nights. There's also 5 bedrooms on the first floor, one of which has its own name 'The Withdrawing Room' and where you can still see some of the original 15th-century wallpaper.
When you stay you'll have access to the main gardens of Godolphin Estate, with views over St Ives Bay and St Michael's Mount. And if strolling the estate isn't enough of a challenge, then head onto the South West Coast Path towards Porthleven or St Michael's Mount.
