Nettlecombe Farm offers 9 converted, dog friendly, self catering holiday cottages in 3 blocks, separate but close to one another. Each cottage sleeps between 3 and 10 with additional beds available for larger groups and dining together available for 24.

Surrounded by green fields and lakes, our luxurious self-catering holiday accommodation on the Isle of Wight is not only safe and comfortable for visitors of all ages and abilities, it's also the perfect base to explore the farm with its friendly animals - or the island's wider countryside and scenic coastline.

We offer an amazing opportunity for kids (and big kids!) to get involved in feeding time at the farm. Year round, you are welcome to take part in the morning feeding round 6 mornings per week and try your hand at being a farmer. The animals you will visit on the tour include reindeer, alpacas, lambs (in spring time), chickens (including collecting eggs), goats, an emu and many others.

Our converted function barn is the perfect venue for holding meetings, workshops, conferences, leisure activities, corporate events and retreats. With dining space for up to 24, our function barn provides a flexible space for our guests and can accommodate large groups for any celebration.

We also work with a range of wonderful, experienced yoga teachers who offer weekly classes, workshops and residential retreats at the farm.

If you enjoy fishing then you should take advantage of our 3 lakes that are located a 150 yard stroll down the lane, which is also accessible by car and is free for all guests staying at Nettlecombe Farm during their stay.

All year round there are things to do on the Isle of Wight, and Nettlecombe Farm guests are in a great location to access and enjoy a great range of sports and activities.

EV charging is available for our guests on site at a small additional cost per stay.

Several of our properties have downstairs bathroom (no wet room) and bedroom for guests with limited mobility or requiring wheelchair access.

Fully equipped kitchens including crockery, cutlery and utensils. Separate small kitchen facility within the barn.

Dining Room

Open plan dining areas in each of the properties with space for up to 10 guests. The function room can seat 24 for dining, with a small kitchen area.

Open plan lounge area in each of the properties with a colour television, sofa and armchairs.

No games room on site.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating and electricity inc. in tariff for Cottages and The Barn & Stables. Electricity is an additional charge in the Farmhouse.

Bedrooms

Our flexible accommodation offers king size rooms, twins, double or single, with several properties with bunk rooms, and cots available.

Linen

Bedding, linen, house towels and tea towels provided.

Bathrooms

Our bathrooms are fitted with bath, and or shower, basin and toilet. In addition, several of our larger properties have en suite facilities.

Children's Facilities

4 large play and garden areas (toddlers play area, sports ball pitch, rustic play equipment and walled garden), access to animals and petting areas.

Outdoor

Enclosed private garden areas suitable for al fresco dining and BBQs, garden furniture, rotary clothes line, portable barbecue, free fishing at lakes.

There is no swimming pool.

Parking

Parking available for each property. EV charging is available for our guests on site at a small additional cost per stay.

Location

On the Isle of Wight near Ventnor and St Lawrence, a short distance from the coast. Rural setting near the village of Whitwell. Take the ferry from Lymington or Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight.

The nearest bus station is in Whitwell high street approximately 2 miles from the farm.
The nearest train station is Shanklin, approximately 20 minute drive from Nettlecombe Farm.
Nettlecombe Farm is at the top of a quiet lane around half a mile from the village of Whitwell.
2 miles away is the neighbouring village of Niton where there is a large general store and off licence (open late and on Sundays) and a Post Office.
The nearest pub is the White Horse Inn, based in Whitwell village.
The nearest airport is Southampton airport, approximately 2 hours from Nettlecombe Farm.
