Large dog friendly holiday house sleeping 22, for large group gatherings and exploring the west coast of Scotland

Rosscairn is ideal for large group gatherings for corporate events, family celebrations, wakes, special occasions with friends and sporting events. This lovely Victorian villa has many original features, and antiques galore throughout. And there's a wealth of local attractions and events to visit, making Rosscairn perfect for get togethers.

With 10 bedrooms, there is ample space for up to 24 people (including the sofa bed) with 12 bathrooms and private off street parking. The large dining room can easily cater for 24 people all seating together. The 3 large TV lounges with books and children's toys allow for space for everyone, and the large fully equipped kitchen has a Range cooker, a dishwasher and ample crockery for all cooking needs. Washing machines and tumble dryers are available and there's an outdoor drying room for outside enthusiasts!

There's free WiFi throughout too.

The large south facing garden is laid to lawn, great for relaxing, with cushioned seating and if you are lucky the resident roe deer will come to enjoy apples from the tree.

Rosscairn is the ideal place from which to visit the Secret West Coast of Scotland, and it's easy to get to being only an hour's drive from Glasgow airport, with fantastic travel connections. This is a great location for exploring Argyll with lots of attractions within a 1 hour drive. And this is super pet friendly accommodation with local walks galore!

Further afield, visit the Botanic Gardens Benmore and enjoy a locally produced coffee, and the high street in Dunoon is well worth a stroll with many gift shops and local art work. Many events are held at the Queens Hall throughout the year - very popular each year is the Red Hot Chilli Pipers! Dunoon has many beaches for watching wildlife, or explore Cowal and Loch Lomond. Visit Inveraray Castle and sample famous Loch Fyne oysters.

So many things to do within 1 hour of the property - perfect to meet the needs of most large groups.

Facilities

Newly fitted kitchen fully equipped for group catering with a Range cooker, dishwasher, crockery/glasswear with fridge and freezers.
Table can be laid into a T shape for communal dining. Currently set for 24 however more chairs are available. It overlooks the south facing garden.
The Snug has childrens toys with TV, Wii and a small log fire. More formal lounge has unusual books, Smart TV. Games lounge has TV with DVD player.
Rosscairn has 3 lounges with TVs (1 Smart TV, 1 DVD). The dining room is linked to a stereo with speakers.
Free WiFi is provided. Phone signal varies depending on location and provider.
Games lounges has board games and cards.
Gas central heating, 1 room with log burner and 2 rooms with open gas fires.
1 king size suite with sofa bed, 3 twin rooms, 3 doubles, 1 family room with 1 double and 2 single beds, 1 single, 1 double with extra single bed.
All linen and towels are provided - with fluffy robes! Dining room has white table linen with clear covers to prevent spills.
1 bathroom with bath and overhead shower on ground floor. 11 rooms with en suite showers. 1 small bathroom with bath along corridor on first floor.
Regretfully all our bedrooms require use of steps.
1 travel cot and toys.
Large sweeping entrance driveway with ample parking. To the rear is a spacious private lawned garden with outdoor seating.
There is no pool.
Private off street parking ample for the number of rooms.
No smoking inside. Smoking is allowed outside.
Up to 4 pets charged at £20 per pet per stay - if you have more then 4 pets please call me to discuss further.

Location

Rosscairn is located next to a white church on Hunters Street. Walking distance to the car ferry. Bus stop 2 min walk. Easily accessed from Glasgow and close to ferry terminals.
Dunoon short drive (2 mins) to the passenger ferry.
Kirn Post Office, short 10 min walk down hill.
The Lorne is our favourite - a short drive - booking recommended. Queens Street Chippy is super too! The Coylet near Loch Eck is also recommended.

Booking Information

One night bookings available for £880. Arrive 4pm, depart 10.30 (early entry and/or late checkout available for additional cost). Non refundable deposit £200 paid on booking, balance due 1 month before arrival. £250 security deposit to be paid on arrival, refunded after inspected departure.
