Housed in the original village school (1872), the picturesque building has stunning views overlooking the village. Within it, our award winning hostel, with its environmental focus and heart centred surroundings, welcomes both families and groups with both group accommodation and family rooms.
Indoors, we have a welcoming open wood fire, a home cooked vegetarian evening meal for groups and a fully furnished self-catering kitchen. A vegetarian buffet breakfast is also available. Within the spacious dining area is a complimentary drinks facilities.
Our library contains various books to inspire, inform and help you. There are also children's books as well as games and crafts items.
Our laundry and drying room is also an asset for groups enjoying the wonderful outdoor environment on the doorstep. Terraced up the hillside there is a garden area with secluded seating. Our barbecue and camp fire areas are also a bonus for groups. For cyclists there is a bike storage shelter and outside water taps.

We are in a traditional mountain village that has a charm of its own. Our pub, the Slaters Arms, is only 200m away and is a CAMRA (real ale) registered pub owned by a Welsh micro brewery. The village is a community in every sense and you will enjoy the quaint welcoming atmosphere. In regards to outside activities, we are in a very beautiful part of the mountains of Cadair Idris and many cycle trails. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby including Corris Craft Centre with many 'hands on' activities, King Arthurs Labyrinth - going by boat 1/2 mile into the mountain to discover the Welsh mythology and Corris Mine Explorers. The Centre of Alternative Technology, the worlds first Eco centre and two different narrow gauge railways are close by. Many other gems in the area.
