Penllyn and Eifionydd are interconnecting, for 16 guests.

The cottages may be booked individually or in combination. All are wheelchair friendly, some with facilities specifically for disabled guests. There is a party room above the pool area which can be used for large group dining.

We are a family focused site where children and pets are welcome. Our site includes play areas, gym and sports facilties so there is plenty to do for all the family. Our swimming pool is open all year and is free of charge to guests. The beach is a 10 minute walk.

This area is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. Time and time again our guests tell us that Afonwen is the ideal location for a holiday, perfectly positioned between the sea and mountains of Snowdonia.

The lake and grounds are home to many rare species of birds and there is a bird hide for the enthusiast.

The pony trekking centre caters for riders of all abilities, with off road riding on the beach, where you can canter through the surf and look out for seals which visit the coast.

There is a craft shop on site offering workshops for children as a change from the beach. For adults, paramotoring is available with regular flights from our fields.

There are numerous beautiful, sandy beaches in the area, many of them dog friendly, and some allowing jet skiing. Several other renowned attractions are nearby, with Portmerion and the Ffestiniog Railway just 15 minutes away. Also enjoy the Blaenau Ffestiniog Slate Mines and the Beddgelert Forest and Bike Centre, both 30 minutes away. The Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw Arts Centre can be found locally. Snowdon itself is close by and offers spectacular scenery and many walking routes.

This is the perfect place for large groups of friends or families to come on holiday together to enjoy all that this beautiful part of Wales has to offer.

Facilities

Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen area. All equipped with dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, toaster.
Each cottage has a dining area for the number it sleeps. Additional dining available. Please ask, we can provide for a large group.
There is either a separate sitting room or an open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room in each cottage. Comfortable, with additional seating possible.
TV and DVD player, and radio in each cottage. Internet access.
Free Wi-Fi is available.
Games room with ping pong, snooker, darts, games and seating area.
Electric heaters in all cottages. All well insulated and warm.
A mixture of family, double, twin, triple and bunk rooms. All cottages have en suite bedroom except the Farmhouse and Lloft Stabl.
All bed linen provided, but please bring your own towels. Tea towels and cloths provided.
There are plenty of bathrooms and shower rooms, some with disabled facilities - wheel in showers, extra rails. Please enquire.
Most of the cottages have wheelchair access and many have other features such as wheel in showers. Please enquire as to which would suit you best.
There are swings and two enclosed play areas, with pedal toys. Games room for ping pong, darts and snooker. Cots and high chairs are available.
Each cottage has its own private outside garden, with furniture. Some are enclosed, some open - please specify.
There is an indoor swimming pool at Afonwen, 1 meter depth, no life guard. There is also a hot tub.
Ample parking for cars, boats, jet skis etc. Storage for bikes and trailers.
No smoking.
Pets are welcome in all the cottages. Please specify for enclosed garden.

Location

On the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales, between Pwllheli and Cricieth on the coast. Easy to find, on the main A497 road.
Pwllheli (4 miles away) with shops, markets, pubs, Asda, cinema, marina, fairground. Plenty of takeaways, restaurants. Gift shops and tourist info.
Chwilog village 1 mile from cottages, local post office, newspaper, bread etc.
Chwilog village 1 mile from cottage, pathway to the village. Meals available and Sunday carvery.
