Situated within a meadow beside an oak wood and with wonderful views to the Cheviot Hills, these lodges (Orchard, Eden and Tweed) are on Cliftonhill Farm with lovely river walks, a new all-weather tennis court, wildlife including otters, deer, kingfishers and barn owls and our flock of Valais blacknose sheep.
These holiday lodges are just 4 miles from the bustling market town of Kelso, which boasts an Abbey, Floors Castle and renowned terrace café, the rivers Tweed and Teviot, Kelso races, and the Border Union Showground which has events throughout the year. Delightful restaurants, cafes and pubs in Kelso. Berwick-upon-Tweed is half hours drive with wonderful beaches. Edinburgh is an hours drive or catch the train from Berwick or Tweedbank.
Each lodge, or hygge, sleeping 4 is a hidden gem, with a woodfired hot tub, decking and a panoramic 180* view through huge windows over the rolling Borders countryside to the Cheviot hills beyond. Eden Hideaway, in the middle, has a dining area able to seat the whole group of 12, on request. Each has a king bedroom and smaller twin.
Take time out to relax at Eden Holiday Hideaways. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the meandering Eden Water, over the wooden bridge and on to the River Tweed, or head for a game of tennis on the all-weather surface. Or for something less energetic, opt for sunbathing on the decking with a book or chilling in the hot tub with a glass of something cool and soak up the surrounding landscape.
