Hollin House, Hexham, Northumberland

5 - 10 5 Bed

Spectacular holiday house near Otterburn sleeping 10 for multi generational family getaways and rural retreats

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Hollin House, Hexham, Northumberland, sleeps 5 - 10 in 5 bedrooms.

This newly renovated wing of a stunning Northumberland manor house really is quite something. The design has retained some gorgeous original features such as the fireplace in the sitting room along with a modern and contemporary air of luxury and absolute comfort. The attractive entrance hall and beautiful locally sourced wooden staircase offer a taste of what is to come as you step into this rural holiday home.

Hollin House is a popular choice for friends and multi-generation families meeting up for a reunion or big birthday. And you can bring the dog. It is situated in the Northumberland National Park, which became England’s first International Dark Sky Park in 2013.

A spacious bespoke kitchen is very well equipped and includes a range cooker, dishwasher and ample work surfaces to make meal prep easy. The utility room has a washing machine and free tumble dryer, very handy for keen walkers and cyclists who need to wash outdoor clothing. The sociable dining room is a great space for get togethers. Relax next to the wood burner in the sitting room, maybe catching up with some TV or tinkling the ivories on the piano. If the weather plays nice, there is a pleasant woodland area outside with seating, perfect for some star-gazing on a clear night.

The bedroom accommodation is modern and spacious with stylish soft furnishings and decor. The ground floor king size with wet room is ideal for anyone in the group who is less mobile. There is no shortage of facilities with 3 en suite showers and 2 family bathrooms with luxury roll top baths.

There are plenty of activities in this stunning area of Northumberland, including walking and cycling trails, golf, fishing and water activities, as well as several Dark Sky Discovery Sites. Further away, Hexham is a good base for exploring the North Pennines and Hadrian's Wall, as well as being a town with its own attractions. Visit the Abbey, the Old Gaol and the Moothall, or wander around the independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Chesters Roman Fort, Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum are also near Hexham, as is the National Landscape Discovery Centre at The Sill.
