Twin and single rooms are available for adult guests, while young people can sleep in warm purpose-built dormitory-style accommodation, with gender-separated bathroom and shower facilities. Sheets, duvets and pillows are provided for all guests and teacher rooms are close by. Or, try our brand new accommodation - Adventure Lodges! Our brand new Adventure Lodges are of the highest quality, providing a comfortable and secure base for your group throughout your stay. Our guests can enjoy the feeling of getting back to nature that camping brings, but there’s no tent to put up or take down, so all your group will need to do is get active and enjoy all the comforts of Kingswood’s normal accommodation in a new and exciting atmosphere.

Along with our extensive list of activities available, from abseiling, canoeing, bushcraft to archery, the excitement continues into the evening, with quizzes, disco and karaoke to name a few! The River Alyn runs through the northern end of the site, and alongside this is a purpose-built watersports lake. The centre site is fully secure with boundary fencing, security gates and CCTV.

Colomendy is built to suit young visitors and adults alike. Colomendy has a large group leader's retreat equipped with hot drink making facilities and comfy sofas to warm up after a chilly day in the woods and enjoy the beautiful view of Moel Famau in the distance and the surrounding area. There are internet enabled computers for visiting adults to check emails, contact home via Skype and to book next year's trip! Adult guests also have the opportunity to join a local art group on Thursday mornings to test their painting or drawing skills in our Meeting room.

We host corporate business groups along with youth groups, brownies, scouts, cadets, sports clubs, organisations and many more.

Facilities

No self catering, but our recently refreshed teacher rooms have contemporary furnishings, tea and coffee making facilities. Full catering provided.
To fuel guests during a day of activities, we serve three hot meals per day, with lots of choice and seasonal variations.
There is a chill out zone with Blue-ray, sofas and bean bags and computers.
The bedrooms do not have TVs, but to host a movie night/to watch a sports game, TV equipment can be arranged.
Limited phone signal in Colomendy, but we have WiFi available
We have a games room with a ping pong table and pool table for all students.
The centre is fully heated, but there are no open fires in the rooms. Campfires and barbecues can be arranged
Warm purpose-built dormitory-style accommodation, with leader rooms located nearby. Or try our glamorous new Adventure Lodges - camping made easy!
Sheets, duvets and pillows are provided for all guests at no extra cost.
Some rooms are en suite, and some with communal bathrooms, but every guest had a bathroom available to them.
We have disabled access, but please specify specific needs upon booking to confirm we can accommodate.
We have a range of activities to suit an age range of 7-18 year olds.
£1 million adventure park with three huge climbing and abseiling towers, high and low rope activities, a 3G swing, a 200m zipwire. Barbecue area.
Colomendy does not have a swimming pool, but we host a range of activities in our watersports lake.
We have plenty of parking available for your vehicles.
Smoking is only permitted in our designated smoking areas. However, no visitors under the age of 16 are permitted to smoke within the centre grounds.
No pets permitted.

Location

The 130 acre site is located just off the A55 set deep in a beautiful valley designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, surrounded by scenic hills and woodlands and wildlife.
Mold - 3.5 miles. Mold is a slow food town, which became the first town in Wales to achieve this distinction. Mold has a diverse street market every Wednesday and Saturday
Mold has a Tesco superstore, but there is also a garage at the bottom of Colomendy's drive with a Spar.
All food is provided on site.
