La Grange is an elegant, traditional Quercy longere with the living area at one end and 2 storey bedroom wing at the other, ideal for families/friends sharing as it creates independence while holidaying together. The house offers spacious, comfortable accommodation and is full of character with exposed stonework and ancient beams, and is furnished to an exceptional standard combining a blend of antique and modern furniture.

The large open plan salon has picture windows and both living and dining areas. There are comfortable sofas and chairs, satellite TV and games, holiday reading and toys for small children. The dining area seats 14, with the modern kitchen adjacent.

The bedroom wing accommodates up to 14 plus 2 babies. Each bedroom has its own bath/shower room and separate entrance on to a central courtyard.

La Grange is set well back from a quiet access road. The large attractive, mainly lawned garden provides opportunities both for family activities and enjoyment of the peaceful and spectacular setting with superb views over the valley. Games facilities include badminton, boules and outdoor table tennis. A large terrace, shaded by a wisteria covered pergola, has a barbecue and outside lighting.

The 10 x 5m salt filtered and fenced swimming pool offers the best of the magnificent views from its large sunny terrace, with plenty of sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs.

La Grange is 10 minutes by car from the 12C market town of Figeac, renowned for the beauty of its old houses and with an exceptionally rich architectural and historic heritage. There is a good mix of shops, banks and excellent restaurants. 3 excellent golf courses as well as tennis, riding, canoeing and fishing are within easy reach. The surrounding countryside is wonderful for walking, cycling and bird watching. La Grange is also well positioned for visiting the spectacular gorges, caves, lush countryside, historic towns and pilgrimage sites in this lovely part of the Lot, which has more designated ‘Beaux Sites’ than any other French department (such as Cahors, Conques, Rocamadour and St Cirq Lapopie and the caves notably Padirac, Pech-Merle and Lascanx, well worth a visit).


The modern kitchen has a gas/electric cooker, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and is fully equipped for 14 people.
The dining area will seat up to 14 people at one long table. High chairs are available for small children.
The sitting area has comfortable sofas and armchairs, a large screen satellite TV as well as DVD and CD players and a selection of indoor games.

Free WiFi is provided and there is good mobile reception.
There is an outside table tennis terrace adjacent to the pool, with bats and balls provided. Badminton and boules sets are also available.
La Grange is open from May to September. It does not have central heating. A woodburner in the salon and electric radiators are available if required.
4 large double (2 also have a single bed) and 2 large twin bedrooms, all en suite and with their own separate entrances. Fully equipped baby's room.
The bedrooms are provided with the best quality white Egyptian cotton linen, large white bath sheets and hand towels and are included in the rental.
6 en suite facilities, five with baths and over showers and one with shower only. All have wash basins and WCs. Separate cloakroom off living area.
The property is not suitable for disabled guests.
There is a baby's bedroom complete with cot, bedding, changing table and baby alarm. Additional cots, Z beds and high chairs are also available.
Tables and chairs are provided around the garden. The shaded pergola/patio has a table and chairs for 14, outside lighting and a large built-in BBQ.
10 x 5 metres, salt filtered and fenced. It has a large terrace with a pool house and plenty of sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs.
There is a large, private off-street parking area on the property which can accommodate up to 10 cars.
Smoking is not permitted in the bedrooms but is allowed in the salon and outside.
Pets are not allowed.


La Grange is situated in the small hamlet of Liffernet and close to the 12C market town of Figeac. It is well positioned for visiting the major tourist attractions in the area, such as Rocamadour.

7 nights minimum stay. Changeover day - Sunday. Payment in Sterling and all major currencies. Non-refundable booking deposit of 25% of total rental; final payment 8 weeks before holiday. Refundable Security Deposit of £500, required with final payment.
