Reach Hall is Reach Cambridge’s beautifully refurbished three-storey Victorian property for students and school groups. Whether for students with their teachers coming to visit Cambridge, youth groups, community groups, or outreach groups, Reach Hall is perfect for your stay in the centre of Cambridge.

With rooms of a high standard, Reach Hall also has the flexibility to accommodate school groups with their accompanying teachers or youth leaders. As well as providing accommodation for groups, Reach Cambridge has over a decade of experience of organising residential academic courses in Cambridge. An additional property on-site, the Coach House, is available for use in conjunction with Reach Hall for an additional fee. The Coach House is perfect as an additional meeting/teaching space or common room, and can provide extra accommodation in addition to Reach Hall in the form of a self-contained unit with bedroom, bathroom and small kitchen. Situated in the historic city of Cambridge, Reach Hall sits opposite Jesus Green and the River Cam. Just a short walk from the city centre (10-15 minutes walk across the Green), there are good bus links to central Cambridge and other neighbouring towns. Cambridge offers not only the perfect base for exploring East Anglia, but the town itself has a huge amount to offer. For trips further afield, Cambridge is also well positioned, being just 45 minutes from London by train.


The large kitchen has two ovens, two sinks, a large fridge and two kettles. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery, even at maximum capacity.
The dining room has a large dining table that can seat up to 18 people at a time.
One of the ten bedrooms can alternatively be used as a living room, with a sofa, television, coffee table and armchairs.
There is a TV available.
WiFi is available throughout the property.
There is no separate games room and we do not have games available.
There is central heating throughout the property. The property has maintained many of its original fireplaces, though these are now purely decorative.
There are 10 bedrooms. 8 of these are en suite, whilst the other 2 share a bathroom. Each room can accommodate from 2 to 4 single beds.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
There are 8 en suite bathrooms and a further bathroom shared by two rooms. Each has a loo, shower and basin. There is an additional downstairs loo.
Reach Hall does not have facilities for disabled guests, but we are happy to provide information about local alternatives for disabled guests.
There is one highchair and one travel cot.
Reach Hall sits opposite Jesus Green, which is a lovely park with tennis courts, swimming baths and plenty of space for sports.
There is no swimming pool, although Cambridge has public facilities.
There is not currently on-site parking. There are parking bays on the main road and spaces in the pub car park opposite.
There is a strict no smoking policy. There is a designated smoking area in the courtyard.
Strictly no pets.


Reach Hall sits opposite the River Cam and Jesus Green, and is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the centre of the city.
Cambridge town centre is just 10 minutes walk away.
There are many shops, cafés, bars, pubs and restaurants in the area.
The Boat House is the nearest pub, and is a short 2 minute walk from the house.

Booking Information

Basic rates, which include accommodation for up to 20 people, start from £930 per night. For each additional guest (up to 34 people), a fee of £30 per person per night is charged. A cleaning fee is also applicable, and a security deposit.

Cambridge Station is a 20 minute bike ride or taxi ride from Reach Hall, and can be reached by bus.
The nearest bus stop is less than 5 minutes away.
Stansted Airport is a short 30-minute train journey from Cambridge.

Rental Rates

Rates vary depending on the group size, time of year and the length of stay. Typically, one night at Reach Hall costs between £20-£40 per person. (eg. lower rate approximately £1800 for group of 30 students for 3 nights). Lower rates apply during the week. One teacher place free per 15 students.
