South Shore Lodge is a Victorian conversion bunkhouse with sea views located on Brownsea Island, a Site of Special Interest, owned and managed by the National Trust.
Sleeping up to 24 across dormitories and twin rooms, this bunkhouse is ideally suited to youth and special interest groups, as well as families and groups of friends. There’s a well equipped kitchen, a large open plan sitting/dining/games room, separate communal shower and toilet block and a large unenclosed garden with patio and barbecue area.
Brownsea Island is a supermarket and car free zone so you will need to come prepared! Catch a ferry from Poole Harbour or Sandbanks and one of our National Trust wardens will meet you off the boat. There is an abundance of wildlife on the island including red squirrel, deer and birds of prey, and lots of walking trails and water outlets to discover.
